INTRODUCTION How I became a Twilighter : I hate trends. At one point, the mere mention of the Twilight series made me cringe, even as I resisted the pull that it seemed to have on me. I'm in my twenties, for crying out loud! Isn't the Twilight series for teenage girls? But curiosity got the better of me and I gave in to temptation. From book one I was completely ensnared, end of story. Well, not quite... How this site came to be : Before I even finished reading the series I began scouring the internet looking for more information. Four books were just not enough to satisfy me. I came away from my search feeling somewhat unsatisfied despite the number of websites out there. Many just didn't seem to have what I was looking for and quite a few were dead and abandoned. The more unsatisfied I became, the more I began to like the idea of starting my own Twilight fan site. And so, here I am My hope for this site : I would like this site to become a place where people can come to get their Cullen fix as well as general Twilight-centric conversation and fun. You don't have to be over twenty like me to be here -- just a Twilight fan. Looking for the shoutbox? I was having problems with it so I deleted it. The forum is now up and running though, so come in and say hello there.

Ashley Greene Talks to Ellen DeGeneres : Video Ashley Greene talks to Reelz Channel : Video Rumor: Summit wants Chris Weitz to direct ‘Breaking Dawn’Source : reelloop.com Summit has yet to officially announce the production of the final installment of Twilight, Breaking Dawn, they have reportedly expressed interest in New Moon director Chris Weitz to return to the franchise.Summit enjoyed the work from Weitz who experienced great box office success with New Moon and wants to secure the director for the last film(s). Most likely Weitz won’t be back. He is headed to Summit’s other project The Gardener. Summit wanting Weitz for Breaking Dawn is pure speculation especially since David Slade’s take on the franchise with Eclipse has yet to be released. Weitz, in an interview with Time magazine, said that he does pay attention to rumors on the Internet…something I know to be true first hand. “During shooting I tried to not go onto the Internet at all if possible,” says Weitz. “I started to pay attention to fan reaction to the trailers that have been out and what kind of stuff they like, just in order to get a temperature of where things were heading. I think you end up being a politician responding to polls if you pay too much attention to the Internet.” The director adds: “Because it’s a quick way to convince yourself that one particular person who happens to be Twittering at the moment just happens to be the authority. I try to put out fires when bizarre rumors get started. One rumor I addressed was that the Volturi scenes were supposed to be set in a bathhouse with everyone naked.”

12/1/09 Although this article is biased against the series I still thought it had some merit. Summit Considering ‘Breaking Dawn’ SplitSource : newsinfilm.com The Twilight Saga: New Moon is dominating theaters and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is in post-production for next summer, which means its time for Summit Entertainment to sit down and have serious discussions about the fourth and final novel in the Stephenie Meyer series, Breaking Dawn. There was some early talk in April of putting together the last installment by spring 2010, but saga screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg shot down the rumors at the time. The studio purchased the rights to the entire saga from Meyer before moving ahead with sequels and we know they’ve retained the services of Rosenberg for the inevitable fourth. Robert Pattinson, who plays male lead Edward Cullen, even gave a tentative shooting start date of fall 2010. If Pattinson’s word wasn’t enough, producer Wyck Godfrey promised “there’s every intention” The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will get made. Of course it will, let’s move on. What about the rumors the franchise will go the way of Harry Potter and split the last book into two movies? According to the BFDealMemo, that dream is still alive in the boardrooms of Summit Entertainment. From a financial standpoint, everyone there knows they stand to make a lot more money with an extra movie, but logistically it’s a bit of a nightmare. Stephenie Meyer and the actors would all need to renegotiate agreements for another film, since they only signed to make four movies. That means raises for the stars, especially Kristen Stewart and Pattinson who are already making a reported $12 million a movie. Summit also needs to find a suitable director, and the return of New Moon’s Chris Weitz is still a definite possibility. Despite the fact that he feigned retirement last month and his movie was mind-numbingly boring, Weitz is still the number one candidate for his attention to budget and familiarity with the cast. The concerns with bringing it to the screen are the same as they’ve always been. How will Summit adapt such a “racy” departure from the rest of the chaste series?
